First measure your wall
Before ordering, it is important to accurately measure your wall.
For wallpaper on a roll
Measure the height and width of the wall. On the product page, you will find all information about the dimensions of a roll and the pattern repeat.
For a mural
Measure the full width and height of the wall.
We recommend adding approximately 5 cm extra to both the width and height. This provides enough leeway during application and prevents small imperfections from becoming visible.
What you need
Good preparation makes wallpapering much easier.
We recommend the following materials:
- Non-woven wallpaper paste
- Glue roller
- Brush for the edges
- Tape measure
- Spirit level or laser
- Pencil
- Sharp snap-off knife
- Wallpaper smoother
- Sponge or soft cloth
- Ladder
Getting started
Step 1
Ensure a clean, dry, and smooth wall.
The more even the surface, the better the end result.
Step 2
Apply the adhesive evenly to the wall.
For non-woven wallpaper, apply the adhesive directly to the wall, not to the wallpaper.
Step 3
Carefully hang the first strip straight.
Use a spirit level or laser line for this. Take your time; the first strip determines the rest of the result.
Step 4
Continue working strip by strip.
Gently smooth each strip with a wallpaper smoother, working from the center outwards.
Step 5
Neatly trim excess wallpaper along the ceiling and baseboards.
Immediately remove any glue residue with a slightly damp sponge.
